The John Bell Scholarship helps kick-start the careers of aspiring performers aged between 16 to 19-years-old from regional and remote Australia through an intensive mentoring program at the Bell Shakespeare company in Sydney.
Three students will receive one week of training and ongoing mentorship from Bell Shakespeare.
They will undertake acting masterclasses with Bell Shakespeare artists, observe rehearsals, see live theatre and perform their winning monologue for John Bell, Artistic Director Peter Evans and a Bell Shakespeare cast.
Students must rehearse a Shakespeare monologue from a list provided by Bell Shakespeare.
All students who are not able to audition in person will be able to audition via video.
To apply for the 2019 scholarship program visit Bell Shakespeare at https://www.bellshakespeare.com.au/learning/scholarships/john-bell-scholarship/.
