The trio compromises three brilliant young musicians playing entrancing instruments, with Katie Yap playing the viola, Kiran Phatak on the flute, and Melina van Leeuwen playing the harp.
The trio formed in 2013 while they were studying at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM). Their 2019 ANAM Artists program is built around two masterworks written by Debussy and Ravel for this unique and evocative instrumental combination.
The Chrysalis Trio will also give Masterclasses for wind and string students on Thursday, August 8 from 5.45pm. All welcome as observers - entry $7 at the door.
