The 39th Governor of NSW, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, will be in the city for three days from Monday.
Sworn in on May 2, the Governor was appointed by the Queen and is her representative in NSW.
She was chosen for the role by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian.
The governor's companion on the trip is husband and former Dubbo High School captain, Dennis Wilson, a barrister, mediator, accredited international arbitrator and Adjunct Professor of Law at Notre Dame University in Sydney.

On Monday the high-profile visitors will meet with civic leaders before taking in Yalmambirra Boogijoon Doolan Youth Camp at Balladoran, run by Uncle Ralph Naden who received his Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) from the Governor in May.
The visitors will also learn more about the IPROWD (Indigenous Police Recruitment Our Way Delivery) program and call on the Yarruwala Youth and Family Services Centre, and the Dubbo Rescue Squad.

Tuesday's itinerary includes the Evelyn Barker Memorial Walk and flag-raising event, a community morning tea, talks with workers and clients of Their Future Matters and the family of Bill Ferguson followed by an inspection of his memorial sculpture.
The Governor will address Dubbo Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday and then tour the Macquarie Correctional Centre at Wellington and meet cadets and volunteers of the St John Ambulance NSW Central West Division.
The Governor, who has been a role model for women in the law at both state and national levels, said in her swearing-in speech "we walk together as we pursue a future of true equality for our First Nations people in their own land".
