The first Central West Food and Liquor Showcase, held on Tuesday and Wednesday, brought customers and 60 suppliers together.
It was the concept of Midwest Foods and Liquor.
The award-winning Dubbo business aimed to bring people in food services from a vast part of western NSW and suppliers - some of which are multinationals - together.
Midwest Foods marketing manager Jo Suckling was pleased they could help overcome the tyranny of distance.
"A real opportunity for customers, particularly those who have travelled from Bourke and Cobar and Lightning Ridge to actually get to meet face to face with the suppliers and see the new products," she said.
"Because the suppliers can't always get out to see everybody, particularly the central west is a pretty big patch to cover and these guys come out from Sydney and we're their feet on the ground to go out and see the customer."
Workshops on social media, cocktail making and more and a Tuesday night function attended by 250 suppliers and customers rounded out the program.
