Monique Duce said she understands there'll be noise and disruption to her life as the River Street bridge is built.
"Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) have spoken to us and they said they would put in place noise barrier solutions for us," she said.
"One of the examples was to double glaze our windows to reduce the noise from outside.
"We had a meeting with them and they answered all my questions."
The people that are designing these things are not stupid, that's what they do for a living.
- Monique Duce.
Ms Duce said RMS staff have been "open and honest" in their dealings with her.
"I honestly don't see what the huge fuss is that people want to stop it," she said.
"I don't see what the huge, major issue is with it".
"Once it's built it probably won't have too much impact on me personally at all."
Because the new bridge would allow heavy vehicles to avoid Bourke Street and the centre of town when they want to get to West Dubbo, Ms Duce said she expected traffic to flow more smoothly.
"We own two headers," she explained.
"To get them through the middle of town, through Bourke Street and through the roundabout at Autobarn, down through the traffic lights and then out towards Parkes is a nightmare.
"It's one of the worst towns to get a harvester through.
"I suppose [the River Street bridge] would also save me time to get across to West Dubbo, instead of going through roundabouts and traffic lights."
Ms Duce has met with other community members opposed to the bridge being built at River Street.
"A couple of points I could agree on, but I still don't get how the Troy Bridge route would be any different," she said.
"I think it might be worse, it might take away a lot of business.
"Across the road from me you've got the Caltex truck stop, if they diverted all the way out to Troy Bridge that'd take away all the trucks from there."
While Ms Duce acknowledged some of her neighbours are opposed to the bridge being built at River Street, she said she trusted experts working for RMS.
"The people that are designing these things are not stupid, that's what they do for a living," she said.
