The annual eisteddfod will run for two weeks instead of the usual three weeks because of concurrent performances on different stages.
The eisteddfod will be held at Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC), Macquarie Conservatorium of Music and the Dubbo RSL Memorial Club's theatrette.
Dance groups will kick off the eisteddfod on Saturday morning at the DRTCC with woodwind and brass sections beginning at the conservatorium in the evening.
