Balladooran Street, between Cobboco Road and Emu Street, and Emu Street, between Railway Street and Balladooran Street, are currently undergoing preparation and drainage work.
It's part of the Village Street Sealing Program.
Work began in late-March and will take about eight weeks, weather permitting.

It will be followed by road sealing in Wongarbon at Bundemar Street between Barbigal and Gungong streets.
Dubbo Regional mayor Ben Shields said the sealing was an important step for growing Eumungerie.
"Village residents appreciate their roads being sealed and this is another exciting step forward," Cr Shields said.
"Residents in our villages don't ask for much but we know they are very eager for their roads to be sealed to reduce dust and improve conditions."
Council is in the fourth year of the Village Street Sealing Program and is focusing on getting all the street segments in Eumungerie, Brocklehurst, Ballimore and Wongarbon sealed.
"This is a great initiative of councillor Greg Mohr to assist residents of these villages and has proved to be a major success," Cr Shields said.
