The Australasian Society of Zoo Keepers - Dubbo branch is holding its annual fundraiser. This year, all money raised will go towards the conservation of the tree kangaroo through the Tree Roo Rescue and Conservation Centre.
The fundraiser will be held at Flip Out between 6 and 7pm. 50 per cent of all 'flipping' costs will be donated to the cause.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Fundraising coordinator Karen James said it was a great way to help the local zoo keepers support conservation.
"And it's going to be great fun. Bring your friends and bring your family to help a great cause," she said.
The evening will also include an auction and raffle, with items including a Roar and Snore accommodation package for two adults at Sydney's Taronga Zoo and a limited edition, numbered Marini Ferlazzo print.
There are 14 species of tree kangaroo and they're all declining in numbers.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the releasing of rescued and hand-raised animals into areas that will improve connectivity of populations and also encourage genetic exchange. It will also help control wild dogs in key areas and educate the public about controlling domestic dogs.
Jumping for Tree Kangaroos costs $15.
