A police source said it's alleged the 24-year-old woman knew the 28-year-old inmate through a previous relationship.
She's accused of failing to disclose the connection and putting herself in breach of legislation that required her to disclose the connection.
The Daily Liberal understands there's no allegation the woman had a sexual relationship with the man.

The relationship allegedly began in the middle of 2018.
The inmate was transferred to a Junee facility, before he was released from prison in January 2019.
It's alleged the woman travelled to Junee to collect the man from prison upon his release, and then drove him to Bourke.
She will appear at Wellington Local Court on May 21.
