The queens, leaders of Red Hat Society chapters, will be among at least 85 of its members ready to kick up their heels.
Pamela Ridley, queen of the Dubbo chapter, called Dubbo Red Hot Flashes, reports of it successfully nominating to host the 'Extravaganza Out West' from May 16 to May 19.
Society members from NSW and interstate will travel to Dubbo for their annual get-together.
Ms Ridley said the Dubbo Red Hot Flashes would showcase the city to the visitors.
"We decided to hold one out here to give people a look at the west," she said.
"We're giving people a look at what we're doing out here and the fun we can have.
"You don't have to live in the city to have a good time."
The society was founded in the United States of America in 1998 to help women reconnect with old friends and make new friends.
"Hatters" come together for the express purpose of having fun.
"There's 1.5 million Red Hat Society chapters throughout the world, " Ms Ridley said.
"We always say it's the biggest playgroup for women over 50 in the world."
Younger women can be members but they wear pink hats and lilac clothes.
When "pinkies" turn 50 they wear purple clothes and red hats.
The program for the four-day event in May is jam-packed.
It will begin with registrations and cocktails on the Thursday night at Dubbo RSl Memorial Club.
A tour by coach of the city will follow on the Friday and include the taking of a group photograph on the steps of Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre. On Friday evening the hatters will converge on Dubbo Turf Club to "solve" a murder mystery.
On the Saturday the visitors will get a volunteer-led tour of the Shoyoen Japanese Garden and participate in mini Olympics at the nearby Sensory Garden.
They will get to rest or shop before a gala dinner at the Dubbo RSL Memorial Club.
The women will tour and have lunch at Taronga Western Plains Zoo on their final day together in Dubbo.
The Dubbo Red Hot Flashes, founded by Shirley Heron, will celebrate its 15th birthday in November.
