The exciting and rapidly improving Castlereagh under 15s team will kick off proceedings at 4pm when they take on the undefeated Woodbridge outfit.
Under the guidance of Nathan Walker the Castlereagh team have been improving each outing and they registered their first win last Saturday at Mudgee’s Glen Willow complex when they downed the Mudgee Dragons 36-10, the win due reward for their high level of commitment and enthusiasm.
The determined Castlereagh under 18s are coming off a 44-22 loss to the Dragons and will be fully tested by Woodbridge who currently sit second on the ladder going into the last competition round.
The Castlereagh girls have put in some sterling efforts throughout the season thus far, with their performances not necessarily being reflected on the scoreboard.
The opens game is set down for a 6pm kick off with a semi final berth being the carrot for both teams, the winner finishing up in fourth spot on the ladder.
In the round's other games, the Mudgee Dragons take on the Panorama Platypi in all three grades, and the Goannas face the Orange Vipers in the two junior grades.
The Goannas under 15s kick off the proceedings at Wellington's Kennard Park at 10.30am.
