Very soon the new $1.6 million accessible playground at the Dubbo Regional Botanic Gardens will be open to the general public - and already we're a little excited for you.
With wheelchair accessible barbecues, a flying fox and liberty swing there will be something for all ages.
There's even plans for a coffee shop for the parents and carers to relax while the children enjoy the playground facilities on offer.
Member for Dubbo Troy Grant tried out the fireman's-poll giving it the thumbs up for the kids (make sure you have a look at the video on our website - www.dailyliberal.com.au) while also scaling the hillbilly with mayor Ben Shields.
Their smiles when they are at the top, show just how much fun it must have been.
It's another great development for the Dubbo community and one that can be enjoyed by everyone, as Tracy Hanna, who started the push for the liberty swing in the park, said.
"It means that families with children who are able-bodied and those with disabilities will be able to come and enjoy a park together. They don't have to say 'we have to go' because there's a child just sitting there and watching, they can actually be part of it.
"It kills me thinking of the children in wheelchairs sitting on the sidelines watching all the other kids play. That doesn't have to happen anymore."
Each of our journalists and photographer who have been to the park for updates on it's progress have come back impressed about the set up - and we are sure you will be too.
A statement from council said the official opening to the park will take place later next month - we say it can't come soon enough.
