The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development figures covers the punctuality of major domestic and regional airlines flying between Australian airports.
At Dubbo airport, data is recorded for QantasLink and Regional Express (Rex) flights on trips between Dubbo and Sydney.
There were five cancellations between Dubbo and Sydney and another two from Sydney to Dubbo during the month. Of those, four were with QantasLink and the other three were Rex.

QantasLink was the more punctual of the two airlines. The company’s flights from Dubbo arrived as scheduled 78.6 per cent of the time.
QantasLink left Dubbo on time 76.7 per cent of the time.
In comparison, Rex left the tarmac on time in 71.1 per cent of flights and was punctual in their arrival for 77.5 per cent of flights.
In total, there were 200 flights from Dubbo to Sydney during the month and 205 on the return route.
Of all the Australian regional airlines, QantasLink had the highest percentage of on time departures and arrivals. Virgin Australia had the second highest number of punctual departures.
The Alice Springs to Darwin route had the highest percentage of on time arrivals during December at 94.7 per cent while the Pert to Newman route was the most punctual for departures at 94.1 per cent.
Mount Isa and Newman airports were the most punctual overall.
FlyPelican and FlyCorporate are not included in the flight data.
