The CSU Welcome Day event aimed to give students and their parents the opportunity to gather further information regarding scholarships, accommodation, and various support available to them on campus.
Prospective student adviser in the CSU Division of Marketing and Communication, Hilary Matchett said they hold Welcome Events to not only congratulate the students who have been successful in receiving an Early Offer to study with them in the New Year, but also officially welcome them to the CSU community.

“We like to showcase all of the different areas on campus, both academic and support wise, so students are aware of the practical nature of our degrees, our strong graduate employment rate, and individualised support we can provide students on campus,” she said.
“Additionally, we highlight student life on campus, by utilising our Student Ambassadors, so students really understand what it is like being a student at CSU.”
During the event students and parents enjoyed a morning tea, met with academic staff, toured the campus, and inspected accommodation.
“Students also bring their parents along to the event, which assists the parents in understanding where their child will be studying the new year as well,” Ms Matchett said.
