Structural engineers were called in to assess the roof and make recommendations.

“We’ve got the builder on site and hopefully this can be rectified as soon as we get the go-ahead from the appropriate personnel,” he said.
“It’s a very, very complex matter. There have been many engineers on site and we’re looking at options for the best way to get it rectified.
“It’s not a matter of we’ve got the money, let’s do it. It’s a matter of following due process.”
Mr Lico said he had expected roof repairs to be well under way by now, but delays and a potential “legal matter” were dictating the pace of the project.
“I apologise for the delay,” he said.
“At the end of the day what we are doing is making it safe for the public.”
