Not a stranger to the City, Mossy has played at various local gigs throughout the years.
So bringing his national tour to Dubbo was something Mossy was looking forward to.

Earlier this year, the Daily Liberal spoke to the former Cold Chisel guitarist about his upcoming show at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre on August, 4.
Back then he was preparing for his national tour to capital cities to promote his latest, self-titled, album.
But the show in Dubbo is part of his regional tour, which features an acoustic, solo show, instead of the seven-piece band he was playing with in metropolitan areas.
“Playing in Dubbo has always been good and (audiences) very responsive, whether it’s a band or solo (act), he said.
Mossy said the tour had been “wonderful” and enjoyed performing with a band and solo.
“I can honestly say they’re both equally enjoyable,” he said.

“So I like to look after regional Australia,” he said.
Dubbo audiences will hear a great range of hits including Tucker’s Daughter, Bow River and Green River, plus a range of songs from his latest album.
“What’s really turning heads is the new song Broadway… people have just been raving about it,” he said.
“So you know you’re onto a good thing. It creates this incredible hush.”
The new album is also Mossy’s finest collection of songs since his multi-platinum, ARIA Award-winning solo debut, 1989’s Matchbook.
It’s also his most personal record yet. Mossy co-wrote every song on the album, aside from My Suffering, a song which was written by his Cold Chisel bandmate and dear friend Steve Prestwich, who died in 2011.

Mossy said audiences can expect to see a “well-rounded” show.
“There will be something for everyone,” he said.
After the regional tour wraps up later this year, Mossy said he’ll get back into writing new songs for his next album.
“It’s not a bad lifestyle. I play every Friday and Saturday nights and I’m home the rest of the week,” he said.
“But I’ve still got plenty of songs left in me.”
Mossy’s Dubbo show will be held on Saturday, August 4 at the DRTCC.
