POLICE believe a vehicle of interest seized as part of the investigation into the murder of Dubbo man Alois Rez may have travelled to Nyngan then back to Dubbo the day after the 33-year-old man was last seen at his Alfred Street home.

Detectives continued their appeal for public assistance yesterday as police chopper Polair 1 landed in Dubbo on its way to search an area west of the city.
The Daily Liberal understands some shopkeepers in Narromine were asked for CCTV security footage as part of the investigation.
State Crime Command's Homicide Squad was called in after Alois Rez was reported missing from his Alfred Street home on August 2, and Strike Force Cornelius was
formed to investigate his death.
He was last seen at his Alfred Street home on the night of Sunday, July 28.
Search warrants were executed on his Alfred Street home and properties in Fitzroy Street and Sappa Bulga Road before police arrested 51-year-old Raymond Isaac Roff and 24-year-old Sarah Renea Tarrant.
Both were charged with murder and were refused bail in Dubbo Local Court ahead of their next court appearance on October 9.
Detectives believed there were members of the community who could help with information about Mr Rez's disappearance and presumed death, and appealed for anyone who saw a distinctive four-wheel-drive travelling through the Dubbo area about 3am on Monday July 29.
Orana Crime Manager Detective Inspector Rod Blackman said the vehicle was a black 2010 model Great Wall 4WD with roof racks.
"It is believed the vehicle first left Dubbo heading towards Narromine, then travelled the back roads to Nyngan via the Dandaloo area, and returned to Dubbo around 10am," he said.
"We would like to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle in the weeks leading up to Monday July 29 or on that day.
"Additionally, anyone with information about any out of the ordinary activity around the Dubbo area, particularly around road reserves, travelling stock routes and the rivers, should come forward."
