Cameron is the son of master horseman and fellow Mudgee trainer Max Crockett.
A three-year-old chestnut gelding, Are You Sure is owned by Des Kennedy - the mayor of the Mid West Council with headquarters at Mudgee - and a former Wellington resident. From a wide barrier, Are You Sure settled near the tail of the field in the Speddos Hire Maiden Handicap (1100m).
Halfway down the straight Are You Sure (Greg Ryan, $5.00) was still many lengths from the lead, but finished like a rocket to beat Head Over (Mathew Cahill, $4.00 fav) by a half head with Prince John (Kacie Chater, $15.00) running third. Are You Sure looks special and will only get better as the distances are increased.

Top jockey Greg Ryan rode the first three winners at Wellington - Brookton Fashion, Are You Sure and Tipsy Tina.
Trained at Forbes by Dennis Bush, Tipsy Tina has been consistent with a string of placings and a three lengths win at Queanbeyan two starts prior to Dubbo.
From midfield in the Notts Rural and Domestic Benchmark 50 Handicap (1700m), Ryan didn’t go around a horse, in a great rails-hugging ride.
Tipsy Tina ($3.50) responded to Ryan’s strong riding to wear down Conch (Yusuke Ichikawa, $4.80) and win by nearly a length with 10-year-old Carry The Dance (Joe Saiki, $7.50) a creditable third.
Ryan also gained late runs near the rails to win the Plasto and Co Maiden Plate (1400m) on the Barry Lookwood, Tamworth trained Brookton Fashion ($5.50).

Chestnut mare Carvoeiro has been a good money spinner for Coonabarabran trainer Wayne Martyn and owners Rob Mathews and Ros Flood who operate a bakery in the town.
Making it seven wins from 33 starts Carvoeiro (Codie McPherson, $5.00 eq fav) set the pace then fought on gamely to hold out Cash Reserve (Leanne G Henry, $16.00) in the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Benchmark 50 Handicap (900m). Finishing third was Amurski (Joe Saiki, $5.50).
The other 900m sprint, the Federal Hotel Benchmark 50 Handicap, was won by the honest School Prince trained by the veteran Les Willis who rides the gelding track work.
Clear in the straight, School Prince ($5.50) gave apprentice Eleanor Webster-Hawes her third winner (Cunnamulla, Dubbo, Wellington) for the week when scoring by nearly two lengths from Picasin (David Pisani, $4.80) and Delalunu (Kody Nestor, $3.50 fav).
Webster-Hawes went close to a double at Wellington when riding Boomerang in the Kitch’s Hardware One Handicap (1100m). Shot Putt (Michael Travers, $17.00) held out Boomerang ($3.20) by a half head with the pacemaker Master Gaze (Mathew Cahill, $2.20 fav) a nose away, third.
Cleverly placed by Cowra trainer Kevin White, Shot Putt mixes picnic and TAB racing and has won 12 races and been placed 22 times from 60 starts.

Lightly raced five-year-old gelding Nuisance is building a good record under the care of Bathurst trainer Fred Heanes.
The latest of five wins, in 15 starts, came in the Ogdens Coaches Benchmark 62 Handicap (1400m) at Wellington.
Patiently ridden by Mathew Cahill, Nuisance ($3.60 fav) from four lengths off the leaders at the 300m eventually came through a gap and raced to a two lengths win over Boralyn (Joe Saiki, $5.00) and Gold Sultan, Kody Nestor, $12.00).

Trippy hadn’t won for a long time, but had strong support ($6.00, $4.20) for the Wellington Motor Inn Benchmark 50 Handicap (1700m).
The 8-year-old gelding trained at Dubbo by Peter McCauley had run a good fourth in strong company at Dubbo prior to Wellington.
Travelling third at Wellington, Trippy (Roly Saxton) shot clear in the straight to account for Snugasabuginarug (Mathew Cahill, $4.80) and the fast finishing Mulga Road (Greg Ryan, $4.40).

Fox Solid made a pleasing return to racing with a strong win in the Bell River Thoroughbreds Class 3 Handicap (1100m) at Wellington.
For the Garry McCarney stable at Wellington, Fox Solid (Ken Dunbar, $6.50) shared the lead before booting clear and scoring by nearly three lengths from joint pacemaker Steel Spring (Anthony Cavallo, $13.00) and American Tale (Lane Moloney, $5.00).
Fox Solid is from former Central Districts “Horse Of The Year” Solid Mandala which was bred and raced by Jim and Janice Cassidy from Parkes and trained by Garry McCarney.
