Family torn apart by horror Bathurst crash

The Chifley Local Area Command’s road toll climbed to 11 after two people died on the outskirts of Bathurst yesterday. The horrific two-vehicle collision resulted in both lanes of the Mitchell Highway being closed to traffic. Emergency services personnel and police rushed to the scene.

An Orange couple who had just landed at Sydney airport after an overseas holiday were heartbroken when told their two daughters had been killed in a car accident near Bathurst on the way to pick them up at the airport.
