The anticipated screening of Prime Mover is coming to town in late October and will be showing at Reading Cinemas Dubbo.
Film producer Vincent Sheheen said “something special is planned for the people of Dubbo”.
He hopes the film will be well received as many locals are in the movie.
Reading Cinemas’ complex manager Michael Wakelam said there would be a “big time” opening night.
“It would be nice to have an Australian film back in the cinema,” he said.
The world premiere screening of Prime Mover was at the Sydney Film Festival on June 8.
A romantic “diesel-charged” comedy by writer/director David Ceaser (Mullet, Dirty Deeds) is about “ambition, pressure, responsibility and the love
shared by a man, a woman and his truck”.
Prime Mover stars Award winning actor Emily Barclay (In my Father’s Den, Suburban Mayhem), Michael Dorman (Suburban Mayhem, Daybreakers, Acolytes), Ben Mendelsohn,William McInnes and Anthony Hayes.
The movie also stars Gyton Grantley, who played Melbourne underworld villain Carl Williams in Australian drama series Underbelly.
Mr Caesar’s Prime Mover won best film script at the 2008 Queensland Premier’s Literary Awards and has been short-listed for the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards.
