Ray Price, Terry Lebetter, Eric Grothe and Ronny Boden will attend the fundraiser for Georgie at the Amaroo Hotel tonight, which will have numerous items of sporting memorabilia go up for auction.
Eric Grothe’s band the Gurus will also perform for guests at the event, which aims to raise enough money to purchase a special chair for Georgie worth $10,000.
Mr Price said he looked forward to tonight’s event and praised the hard work of organiser Tom Barrett.
“I received a letter from Tom, and that guy would make you want to do anything,” Mr Price said. “He was sent here to do something and that is to help this little girl.
“He is one hell of a man.”
Items up for auction on the night include a personally signed jumper from every rugby league side in the NRL, a jersey signed by the NSW State of Origin side and union jumper signed by David Campese.
Other items include a horse racing memorabilia, boxing memorabilia signed by Jeff Fenech and Kosta Tszyu, golfing items signed by Tiger Woods and Greg Norman and swimming memorabilia autographed by Olympians Libby Lenton, Liesel Jones and Michael Phelps.
One of the more notable items that will go up for auction on the night will be a cricket bat signed by none other than Australian hero, Sir Donald Bradman.
There will also be a monster raffle on the night for those who purchase tickets, and organisers have praised those local business who have come forward with donations of prizes for the raffle.
Tickets for the monster raffle will be $10 for a row of ten tickets.
