While wet weather may have dampened the spirits of some, a brilliant day of racing was still able to be held in Bathurst for the Country and Metropolitan Junior Track Championships and Central West Track Open on Saturday.

Dubbo Cycle Club was well represented throughout the age groups but it was Emily Hines who stole the show. Hines took the Junior Under 15 Womens NSW Country Championship after finishing first in all three events.
Hines won the time trial, scratch and derby in her division to finish with 15 points for the meet which is the maximum amount of points on offer for the riders.
Cooper Farr showed he has a bright future finishing second in the Junior Under 13 Boys age group after winning the time trial and coming second in the derby.

Sidney Pickering finished in fifth place in the same age group as Farr and was strong to come fourth in both the time trial and scratch race.
Isabelle Russell managed to finish fourth in the Junior Under 17 Women age group and even managed to grab third place in the scratch as her best performance for the meet.
In the Central West Track Open, Daniel Barber was locked in a day-long battle with Bathurst's Craig Hutton.
Barber won a gold medal in the division one men's elimination race before finishing second behind Hutton in the snowball by just two points. Jason Farr finished in second place in the division two men's snowball while Heather Maleham finished third in the open women event.
Sunday's racing was abandoned due to the weather.
