A man and woman have been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs to Walgett and surrounding areas.

In August this year, officers attached to Central North Police District established Strike Force Elwick to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs to the state's north.
Last week, strike force investigators executed two search warrants at homes at Walgett and charged two men, who remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, officers executed an additional two search warrants at homes at Bidwill, a suburb of Sydney, just after 7am on November 17.
During the searches, officers seized electronic devices, a Toyota Prado, a box trailer, cannabis and cash.
All items seized will undergo further examination.
During the operation, two people - a 47-year-old man and 33-year-old woman - were arrested and taken to Mt Druitt Police Station.
The man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
He appeared at Mt Druitt Local Court the same day, where he was formerly refused bail to reappear at the same court on December 1, 2021.
The woman was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, owner/occupier knowingly expose child to drugs, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity and possess prohibited drug.
She appeared at Mt Druitt Local Court on Thursday where she was granted strict conditional bail to appear at the same court on January 19, 2022.
Investigations under Strike Force Elwick continue.
