The organisation says by holding a board meeting at The Exchange, companies are actively supporting regional communities and small business owners after the tough time of drought, bushfires and COVID-19.
Teams from a major bank and a supermarket giant are among the large corporations to already commit to holding a regional meeting at its venues, The Exchange CEO Jillian Kilby says.
"We have been overwhelmed with the commitments already made by large corporations to host a regional meeting at The Exchange in 2022, including the Commonwealth Bank Regional and Agribusiness Leadership Team, Cleanstar Ventures and the senior team of Woolworths to meet and engage in the Dubbo region," Ms Kilby said.
Ms Kilby, the 2018 NSW/ ACT Agrifutures Rural Woman of the Year started The Exchange at Dubbo as a community and co-working space that aims to support start-ups and those scaling their businesses to increase their chance of commercial success.
She recently announced plans for a second location at Narrabri.
The boardrooms initiative aims to boost regional economies by encouraging city-based companies to not only hold an event at The Exchange, but also allow teams to engage in a curated regional experience as The Exchange partners with local businesses, tourism operators, hospitality venues and accommodation providers, Ms Kilby said.
"When you book your Boardroom in The Bush at The Exchange, you are supporting our small business
community and our regional economy," Ms Kilby said.
"We are a social impact organisation providing workspaces for regionally-based business owners and employees, including those seeking off-farm income.
"We are known for empowering the brave to grow, connect and succeed.
"By hosting your business meeting in Dubbo or Narrabri with us, you are supporting The Exchange to provide regional business owners with the space to connect, the room to grow, the opportunity to learn, and the support they need to succeed.
"Opportunities that are readily available in the cities, but need to be supported and championed in the regions."
