Emergency services were called to a home on Tucka Tucka Street in Quambone about 11.30pm on Tuesday November 2 following reports of a fire.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and found the home well alight.

NSW Rural Fire Service attended and extinguished the blaze a short time later.
A body was located inside the home, however, has not been formally identified.
The occupant, a man aged in his 70's, remains unaccounted for.
A crime scene was established and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
