"There was a substantial amount of work that had to be done- not only with the crowd but with the racing as well."
With beautiful weather, fashion on fleek, good racing and a 'well behaved' crowd, Mr Gordon said the day proved to be a great success.
"Everyone was well behaved, got there and got home safely, I hope," Mr Gordon said.
"It was a good day- turned out to be a really good day- the weather was nice of course and the racing was really good too."

Mr Gordon said the event, which comes as the first big event for Dubbo after a COVID-19 induced hiatus, also welcomed the return of the contingent of people who attend the event for the fashion aspect of it.
"There's always a contingent of people that go to the races for the fashion, yesterday was no different," he said.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District are also praising racegoers for the behavior after what they are deeming a successful return to the track.
Police attended the event to monitor the crowd and were pleased to see racegoers adhering to COVID-19 protocols.
Acting Orana Mid-Western District commander, A/Superintendent Natalie Antaw said it was great to see.
'It is great to see the return of an event like this in regional NSW, after such a difficult year," A/Supt Antaw said.
