The Tri-Stars event on Sunday is aimed at under 16 triathletes, who will compete in one of three races of their choice while seniors will also be able to run in their own event.
Club president Jason Dearmer feels it exciting to finally get under way with an event.
"It's our first event for the club actually," he said.
"We've got three races for juniors and an aquathon for adults.
"It was meant to be our second event for the year but due to COVID restrictions and the stages of opening we had to cancel that one.
"But this will be a good starting event, anyway."

While the seniors will be able to compete in the aquathon, Dearmer knows the whole club is eager to get back into the swing of things with the full season calendar recently being released.
"We are [excited]," he said.
"We've got our full calendar of events planned to allow for inter-club dates for club members to attend tri-stars races and the regular races down at the river.
"A couple of out town events as well."
The Central West Inter-Club series will be without Cowra this year who will miss the competition but are still hoping to host an event this season.
"Cowra have bowed out of the central west competition this season unfortunately," Dearmer said.
"Mainly just due to volunteer numbers and the capacity to organise events.
"They have said they will probably have an event this season just as a general race for other people to come along to if they want."
Mudgee will open the Inter-Club season on November 21, before the Bathurst one on Australia Day, followed by Orange on February 13 before Dubbo finishes the season on March 13.
Dearmer admitted he was not exactly sure how many competitors there will be on Sunday but he is hoping for a big turn out.
"Fingers crossed," he said.
"We are just a bit unsure how everyone is responding to the new lift in restrictions with events.
"We've got a good COVID safe plan and all the committee members are up to date with current restrictions.
"It's quite easy to run the event under the current restrictions and work in well with the Dubbo Aquatic and Leisure Centre."
Dearmer also confirmed the Michael Martin Charity Day would go ahead at Ollie Robins Oval on November 7.
