As of Sunday there were four active cases within the Narromine local government area and 37 across Dubbo Regional.
Case numbers across the district also dropped significantly with two new COVID-19 cases reported for the 24 hours to 8pm Sunday.
Of the two cases, one is in Dubbo and one is in Walgett.
One remains under investigation and one is known to not have been infectious in the community.
A COVID-19 positive patient in the district was also admitted into hospital within the 24 hours to 8pm Sunday.
There have also been no further virus fragments detected in sewage samples taken from areas without known or recent cases of COVID-19, or recent sewage detections.
Residents who do not have COVID-19 symptoms are now also being encouraged to be tested for COVID-19 surveillance.
People having surveillance tests are not required to isolate unless they experience symptoms or have been in contact with an infectious person.
Residents are also asked to remain vigilant for the onset of COVID-19 symptoms and, if they appear, to get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
As of Saturday, NSW had reached an 80.3 per cent double vaccination rate for people aged 16 and over and a 34 per cent double vaccination rate for those between 12 to 15-years-old.
Testing will continue in Dubbo at both the Dubbo Showground between 8am to 4pm and at the COVID Safe Clinic located at the Manera Plaza from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
