The Dubbo attraction will start welcoming visitors on October 18, for the first time since August 10, it confirmed to the Daily Liberal.
Taronga Zoo Sydney will reopen on the same day.
In line with NSW Health advice, the zoos will be open to guests aged 16 years and over who are fully vaccinated, and all young people aged under 16.
The health and safety of zoo guests, staff, animals and of course the broader community remains Taronga's top priority and preparations are under way to ensure the zoo is ready to reopen safely, the organisation reports.
Its sites are "proudly COVID-safe and will comply with all NSW government health orders".
Ahead of the official reopening, both zoos will be taking a staggered approach by welcoming back volunteers and Zoo Friends members for a few select days to allow time for the animals to readjust to having guests back on site.
More information will be shared with members soon.
At Taronga Zoo Sydney, The Wildlife Retreat at Taronga will reopen from October 22 and Roar and Snore from October 27.
At Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo, Zoofari Lodge will reopen from October 18 and the Savannah Cabins and Billabong Camp will reopen from early November.
Bookings are now open for all accommodation products across both Sydney and Dubbo.
The reopening will bring to an end more than two months' temporary closure.
"Being able to reopen again is welcome news for our teams in Sydney and Dubbo," Taronga CEO Cameron Kerr said.
"We look forward to welcoming guests back to Taronga Zoo and Taronga Western Plains Zoo to visit the amazing animals in our care and stay at our variety of accommodation on offer."
During 2020's COVID lockdown the zoo was closed to the public, and at reopening visitor numbers soared.
Whilst both zoos have been temporarily closed to the public, the zoo's dedicated staff have continued to take care of the animals, ensuring their welfare and safety remains at the highest possible standard while also continuing their vital conservation work, the organisation reports.
Updated information about the safety measures in place for reopening will be available on the zoo's website.
Tickets to both zoos are now available to purchase online at www.taronga.org.au from October 18, 2021.
