Due to COVID-19, the conference for this year will be a one hour, online event on November 29.
It will only include the adoption of standing orders, and reports from the president and treasurer.
The 'special conference' - where the debate and resolutions of motions will be undertaken - will be held at the end of February in Sydney.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
It's a chance for councillors from across the state to come together and discuss and debate local government issues.
The conference also allows for councils from across NSW to network and share ideas, as well as hearing from guest speakers, such as the Local Government Minister.
LGNSW said the previous timetable for the conference, from November 28 to 30, "would have placed the three-day event squarely in the last week of the election campaign period - a schedule not only inconvenient for all councillors, but also one with potentially far-reaching implications".
