Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders has announced a grant of $11,220 for use by the Inland Waterways Rejuvenation Association/OzFish.
The grant money will go towards rehabilitating 'Bockhobble' on the Macquarie River with willow control and revegetation activities in the planning.
"This project will see improved habitat for recreational fish species, including Murray Cod and Golden Perch, and improved water quality and biodiversity at 'Bockhobble' and beyond," Mr Saunders said.

"Fishing is a part of our culture and we applaud any initiative that enriches our fisheries while at the same time enhancing our environment.
"I am delighted to back the Dubbo community in its efforts to improve the Macquarie River, one of our most important natural assets."
The Habitat Action Grants are funded from the Recreational Fishing Trusts where all funds raised by the NSW Recreational Fishing Fee are placed.
Since inception in 2009, the Recreational Fishing Trusts have invested more than $6 million into the Habitat Action Grants program.
