Dubbo trainer Michael Lunn has three from his stable making the journey down the Mitchell Highway to Wellington and is optimistic about his chances on Monday.
"I'm a bit worried with the rain they've got," he said.
"I thought my horse in the 58 Handicap 1400 metre would take some beating if it wasn't wet.
"He's a pretty handy horse but I'm a bit concerned about the wet track now."

Proudest Moment will run for Lunn in the Wellington Soldier Memorial Club Benchmark 58 Handicap which will be the seventh race of the day and could've been a strong chance the trainer feels had the conditions been more favourable.
Eureka Miss will be looking to impress in her first start in the One Stop Automotive Shop, Wellington Maiden Plate.
Lunn believes the three-year-old filly has strong pace in what will be maiden start after a single trial at Gilgandra.
"My little first start in the Maiden the family from Melbourne own and they had her in Melbourne," he said.
'She showed some speed in a couple of trials down there but they didn't think she was up to it so they gave her to me and she has good speed.
"I trialled her at Gilgandra so she's had a soft trial and trialled very nice, Casey Wadell rode her.
"Casey came back and said give me a good opinion and she said she would win races so it's just about the track."
Lunn's third and final entrant Brave Maddie may struggle with the Heavy track in KFC Wellington Maiden Plate but the trainer knows it will be good to give the horse a run.
"She don't like the wet at all," he said.
"But if she doesn't go round they go too long between runs it just makes it hard."
One of Lunn's more well-known horses, Witness Collector ran at Randwick on Saturday and pulled up quite well the trainer admitted.
"He's a tough horse," he said.
"He came home last night and he ate everything he had in his feed and hay.
"He's a tough horse but he will probably go to Narromine on September 16.
"That's where he will go."
The track was scheduled to be Soft but now will be Heavy with Dubbo and Wellington experiencing up to 20ml of rain across the weekend.
Wellington's meeting will be the first of two this week with the Dubbo Gold Cup going ahead on Saturday with nominations and final fields to be released later this week.
Lunn admitted he had planned for Club Town to be entered in the Cup but it is not the case now just under a week out from the meeting.
The first race of the meeting is set to jump at 12:55pm.
