He was also disqualified from driving for nine months and ordered to install an interlock device for 24-months.
Magistrate Olischlager also ordered Rippon to undertake 40 hours of community service work.
Rippon had been drinking beer and Jim Beam bourbon with relatives at an address in Dubbo for about seven hours before the incident occurred on October 3 last year.
Despite several requests from family members not to drive, Rippon got into a Toyota Landcruiser and headed home at about 11.40pm.
According to police, Rippon was travelling along Minore Road, when he crossed onto the wrong side of the road.
He firstly mounted a gutter and hit a small tree and steel skip bin, before colliding with the concrete wall of the Woolworths loading dock in Delroy Park.
Police arrived a short time later and found Rippon in the drivers seat of the car, in and out of consciousness, with a large laceration to his head.
According to court documents the impact of the collision had caused irreparable damage to the front of the vehicle, and both airbags were deployed.
A large amount of oil was leaking from the engine block.
Relatives met with police at the scene and stated they heard a "loud bang".
NSW Ambulance paramedics and firefighters attended and Rippon was taken to Dubbo Hospital for treatment.
Tests later revealed a blood alcohol reading of 0.202 - four times the legal limit.
In court documents police said this was Rippon's fifth charge in relation to driving under the influence, and displayed "zero regard for public safety".
Rippon pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving at Dubbo Local Court in July and the matter was adjourned at the time for sentencing assessment report to be prepared.
