The fundraising event was scheduled to push off next month, however the committee said there was no guarantee the lockdown would be ever and the event would be able to proceed.
The Tour de OROC will now be held on Monday, March 21 through to Saturday, March 26.
The route is identical to the one planned for 2021. The committee has weighed up the number of hours of sunlight in the day and likely temperatures greeting riders, along with the ability for communities to facilitate the events as they passed through each town.

More than $80,000 has already been raised for Macquarie Home Stay through the current Tour de OROC.
The Tour de OROC is run by the Rotary Club of Dubbo South. Committee chairman Mathew Dickerson said he hoped the delayed ride would lead to even more money being raised.
"While it is disappointing to have to delay the event, when the committee met, we felt we had no option as the safety of our riders and support crew in addition to the communities along the way is of paramount importance," Mr Dickerson said.
"The additional time will give the event this year the opportunity to raise the most money ever from a single event.
"We thank the riders and sponsors who have been happy to continue their commitment through to March next year."
