Diversions will be in place from 7pm on Friday August 13, via Baird Street and Young Street, with access blocked through the intersection, until 7am on Monday August 16. Work will be carried out day and night, with night work planned to minimise the impact to the wider community and the noisiest work to be completed prior to midnight.

Motorists are advised to follow the direction of all signs and traffic control, including reduced speed limits.

This will involve widening the road, creating dedicated turning lanes and installing permanent traffic lights to create smoother and more efficient journeys for all motorists.

Multiple sewage detections in both Dubbo and Mudgee means that someone who has COVID-19, or has recently had it, has been in these communities.

Widespread testing is the only way that we can be confident of keeping everyone safe, so please get tested if you have any symptoms - however mild.

Symptoms include: fever (37.5 degrees Celsius or higher); cough; sore throat; shortness of breath (difficulty breathing); runny nose; loss of taste; loss of smell.

Other reported symptoms include: fatigue; acute blocked nosed (congestion); muscle pain; joint pain; headache; diarrhoea; nausea/vomiting; loss of appetite.

Unexplained chest pain and conjunctivitis (eye infection) have also been reported as symptoms of COVID-19.

Stay-at-home rules apply to anyone who visited:

Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour local government areas on or after Monday June 21.

The Newcastle, Cessnock, Dungog, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Muswellbrook, Port Stephens or Singleton local government areas on or after Saturday July 31.

The Armidale regional local government area on or after Thursday July 29.

You must not enter these areas unless you have a reasonable excuse.

If you do visit these areas while the stay at home rules are in place, you must follow the stay at home rules when you return home for 14 days after you were in the area stay home unless you have a reasonable excuse.

If you live with other people your entire household should follow the stay at home rules.
