A fast start and strong team performance helped the Demons defeat the Bathurst Bushrangers in a match played at Parkes due to ground unavailability.
The Demons kicked three goals in the opening quarter and led led for most to the game on the way to finish winners with a 10.6.66 to 3.3.21 scoreline.
Demons star Em Warner felt it was a strong performance after a tricky few weeks.
"Particularly because we hadn't played, we missed the two games before the Giants game and we lost to Orange the week before that," she said.
"We did play well (in the loss) against the Giants but it is good for everybody's morale to get a win on the board."

Warner admitted it there was not one individual who stood out for the Demons on Saturday but it was a collective team effort which got them the win.
"I think it was really hard to pick a standout," she said.
"I think the thing that got us the win was everybody did their bit.
"We were talking about it in the car on the way home and I'd say to Pete (Martinoli) the coach such and such played really well but so did that person too.
"I think everybody's name got a mention which is a good thing."
With just two rounds remaining until the finals begin, Warner knows the win is an important one in the grand scheme of things.
"Particularly with the run home, it was a really good game to get everyone back on board," she said.
The Demons team are a close one and Warner believes there is a really good feeling around the squad especially after the weekend.
"There was such a good feel in the game," she said.
"We had a girl who hadn't played much before come out and she made a huge impact on the game.
"Plus Shelly George kicked her first goal and I think people ran from all over the field to come and congratulate her.
"That was just an amazing feeling about the team which is so good coming into finals."
Ahead of the Demons now is the undefeated Bathurst Giants, who are also the defending premiers, but Warner is confident the Dubbo side can match it with the competition's best.
"Hopefully we can have a really good week of training if we are allowed to go ahead with all that amongst COVID-19," she said.
"But if we can put in a really solid week with training and keep that momentum going from Saturday then I think we can push the Giants.
"We played really well against them last time and I think we are getting better and better each time we play them.
"There's no reason why we can't beat them."
As there is only four teams in the women's competition, they are all quite familiar with each other and Warner believes it is not necessarily a bad thing.
"You can sort of start thinking about your match-ups before the game," she said.
"We know the style they play and same thing for them against us. It'll be just who can come out the day and want it more."
The Demons men's Tier 1 side lost their second game in as many weeks after falling to the Bushrangers wile the Tier 2 side lost at Cowra.
