Dubbo Regional Council is planting new trees in the street.
The two-week exercise is expected to be completed about Wednesday, August 18.
Native frangipani trees are being planted.

The work is being carried out from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the project.
In a statement the council advised that Furney Street was closed to "all non-local traffic".
"Following local community consultation, the preferred species of trees was Hymenosporum flavum-native frangipani, in keeping with endorsed Street Tree Masterplan vegetation," it said.
Hymenosporum flavum, or native frangipani, is a rainforest tree and native to Queensland and NSW.
