Along with new chairman Matthew Irvine, Ms Crothers joins current serving members of the board in Darren Ah See, Fiona Bennett, Jason Cooke, Dr Colin McClintlock, Amanda O'Brien and John Walkom.
"It is great to have the new board together. It also includes our newest board member, Ms Annette Crothers," Mr McLachlan said.
"Ms Crothers brings with her a wealth of experience in the human services sector in NSW, from primary health care and mental health services to government and profit for purpose organisations in metropolitan and rural environments.
She also has extensive board chair and senior executive experience across government and non- government committees.
"Ms Crothers experience and knowledge will be a welcomed addition to the WNSWLHD Board."
With few areas of more importance to local communities than healthcare, the board oversees the delivery of a budget of more than $1 billion, a workforce of around 8,000 people and the care of more than a quarter of a million people.
"I am looking forward to working with our new Chair and the members of the Board to continue to improve and work towards providing the best care possible for the people across our footprint," Mr McLachlan said.
"We are in challenging times, from a global pandemic through to natural disasters and mice plagues.
"However, we remain committed to continuing to innovate and grow with the changing landscape to deliver the best health care to the people of our region."
