A truck-driver whose work diary indicated he drove 150 kilometres between Dubbo and Orange in an hour was convicted in Orange Local Court on Monday.

Anthony Clive Kable, 50, of Stevenson Way, later admitted he left Dubbo at 7am, not 7.30am and he falsified the document. As a result, he was convicted of making a false record.
Kable was driving a prime mover and towing a trailer when he was stopped on the Mitchell Highway at Orange at 8.30am on May 8.
Kable was also found convicted of making another false entry. Police noticed he had scribbled out a line indicating he stopped driving at midnight and he adjusted it to 10.30pm.
He admitted he actually stopped driving at 1am and falsified the entry so it appeared that he took his required seven-hour rest break.
Magistrate David Day also fined Kable $550 for resting less than seven hours in the 24-hour period.
Kable had only rested four-hours and 30-minutes under the fatigue management system. "It's about safety," Mr Day said.
Kable was not represented in court and said he drives trucks from Sydney to Dubbo each day.
