A dominant first half has given the Dubbo Kangaroos a 27-12 win over Orange City in round 11 of the Blowes Clothing Cup on Saturday at Pride Park.

Dubbo fullback Joesph Nash got the visiting side on the board early as he found a hole in the Orange defence to score under the posts.
Without Jake Styles, goal kicking duties came the way of Joshua Bass who made no mistake to give Dubbo an early 7-0 lead.
After some strong defence on their own try line, Dubbo made their way downfield before Bass scored a try of his own in the corner.

Dubbo looked dangerous as Edward Williams muscled his way over minutes later to cross the line giving the Roos a 17-0 lead.
Things changed dramatically when Bass was given a yellow card for a ruck infringement leaving Dubbo with 14 men.
City parked themselves in Dubbo's half but a good dummy pass from Zack Cheney set up a try for Fletcher Rose but Duncan Young could not add the extras.
Flanker Will Archer ducked down the blindside off a maul to extend Dubbo's lead to 22-5 which it remained until half-time.
The second half was a much more evenly matched contest compared to the first 40 minutes with both sides unable to score until Young grabbed an intercept of an ill-advised Pat Wheatley pass to grab his first try of the afternoon which he promptly converted.
Dubbo struggled to get the ball out of their own half with City showing some excellent defensive intent.
However, a clever kick from Nash rolled into touch to give Dubbo some field advantage which they quickly capitalised on scrum-half Pat Wheatley darted over next to the posts.
Orange had chances in Dubbo's half late in the game but could not break through the visitor's defence as full-time was blown.
Dubbo now sits eight points clear of City in fifth position but trail the fourth-placed Bathurst by 11 points.
