Leading country drivers, rising stars of the sport, and those just taking to the track for a bit of fun will all be in action in the latest round of the Southern Stars Race Series this weekend at Dubbo Kart Club.

The racing heads to Lincoln County Raceway and drivers from the Grenfell, Wagga, Griffith, Canberra and Dubbo clubs will all do battle.
There will be a range of classes from Juniors to Hi-Speed Rotax while the relatively new four stroke series has allowed drivers to be part of more relaxed racing series with karts that require minimal maintenance.
"I'd expect close to 100 nominations for it and they'll come from all over the Central West and everywhere west of the Blue Mountains, really," Dubbo Kart Club president Frank Cross said.
"That makes it a pretty big weekend."

A host of local drivers will be in action during the weekend and will be out to make use of the home track advantage.
Cross picked out Rueben Ross and Hunter Ross as ones to watch as they've been racing "all over the place" in recent years and head into the weekend's round in good form.
One of the highlights will be the rookies and novices taking to the track, with some exciting young drivers from Dubbo and around the region to showcase their potential.
Jed Wrigley is one of the hometown drivers who will be involved there, having previously represented the Dubbo Kart Club at a number of top-level events in recent times.
Practice sessions start from 8.45am on Saturday and racing continues through the day until roughly lunch-time on Sunday and with free entry Cross is hopeful of seeing some locals who may not have experienced karting before go and see what it's all about.
"I think the sport is one a lot of people in Dubbo don't know exists," he said.
"But we've been going since 1990 and there's a good following and we've got an international standard track that's 1050m.
"It's fairly technical and a lot of drivers practice here before going to other events."
The Dubbo club will also hold the NSW state titles on the October long weekend.
