First place getters for Speeches that Changed the World were St Laurence's Primary School duo Ellie Carrigan-Green and Fletcher Horsburgh.
"I'm a little bit surprised," Fletcher said.
"It was my first time participating in the Eisteddfod."
Ellie, who was also a first-time participant, said, although she was happy to take home first place, it didn't matter to her what place they got, as long as they did their best.
"I've always really liked drama and acting, so I enjoyed it," Ellie said.
Fletcher said his favourite thing about participating in the Eisteddfod is that you always feel good.
"No matter what place you get, you always feel good with yourself," he said.
For Ellie, it's the creativity that sparks the most joy.
"I like that you get to be creative and people really acknowledge that," Ellie said.
"I do also like that you get placements.
"It's all very overwhelming."
Both Fletcher and Ellie said it was a worthwhile experience they would 'definitely' do again if presented with the opportunity to do so.
Ellie and Fletcher were both presented with a first-place medal and certificate.
Coming in hot in second place were duo Eliza Strahorn and Susannah Scott who were also presented with a second-place medal and certificate.
Eliza and Susannah are students at Dubbo Christian School.
