The Hawks maintained their unbeaten start to the season on Saturday when they defeated Fusion Wild 54-25.
It made it five straight wins to start the new season and keeps them ahead of four-time defending premiers, Fusion Heat.
Heat showed its quality on Saturday when downing the Nyngan Cougars 44-23 while the Dubbo Rhinos Rebels proved too good for the Macquarie Hornets, winning 65-51.
The Hawks have proven one of the competition's strongest sides since entering the competition and after being beaten by Fusion Heat in the 2019 decider they fell at the semi-final stage last year.
Experienced players like Trudy Althofer and Denise Skinner have again proven key for the side this season while youngsters like Tori and Jordi Petty has added plenty in the midcourt.
The Hawks will feature in Saturday's match of the round when they meet the third-placed St Groovers side which is coming off the bye.
Elsewhere, Heat meets the Macquarie Hornets and Fusion Wild plays the Rhinos.
