Under 14s coach Carmen Armour said the day was brilliant to be a part of, especially with the club growing after 10 new players have joined since round one.
"Amazing to be able to celebrate the Indigenous round, we have so many Indigenous players in our club and to be able to have a focus on them is a) important and b) it's just such a privilege," she said.
"I think the club is having a fantastic start to the year, yes there has been some wins and that is always nice but the motto of our club is to be a family club and one that's welcoming to everyone.
"We've picked up so many news players this year, that for us is a just a measure of our success,"
This year has been an exciting personally for Amour who has just been appointed the AFL Central West under 15s representative coach to take a team to Nowra later this month.
"I got a call from the league to say that they would like to offer me the rep coaching position which is obviously a huge privilege and I'm really looking forward to getting to work with some of our talented kids," she said.
"It's a big opportunity to go down to the south coast and play with the players they admire in other clubs in the central west league.
"It's nice for the kids to get to play the game they love together as opposed to always against each other."
All four of Dubbo Junior AFL's team played on Sunday against the Bathurst Giants with Armour's team winning their match.
The under 14s were victorious against Bathurst 8.12-60 to 2.5-17.
The under 12s also won their game but the Giants were too strong for Dubbo in the Youth Girls and Under 17s.
The Dubbo Junior AFL sides will again be at home this Sunday when they take on the travelling Bathurst Bushrangers sides in all four grades.
