The Western NSW Local Health District has corrected advice from Sydney on Thursday that Dubbo Hospital will be a "Pfizer site" for people aged 40 to 49 years.

In a statement released on Friday, its spokesman pleaded with the public not to call the hospital to make a booking.

He said from Monday eligible members of the public would be able to start booking into a vaccine clinic at Dubbo provided by the health district.
The spokesman said it would not be in the hospital.
"Bookings can only be made by registering at www.nsw.gov.au," the spokesman said.
"Please check your appointment information for the location of your vaccination."
He said from Monday people aged 50 and over who were unable to access the AstraZeneca vaccine through their GP could book into the Dubbo clinic.
People aged between 40 and 49 years can register interest in receiving the Pfizer vaccine at www.nsw.gov.au.
From Monday they will be able to make a booking at the Dubbo clinic through www.nsw.gov.au.
