Almost half of the 50 spots in the Rotary Club of Dubbo South's fundraiser called Destination Outback have been filled.
Club member and event director George Richmond is not surprised.
"Travel opportunities were denied to many people over the last 12 months so we expect the maximum of 50 entries will be taken up very quickly," he said.
"I look forward to another exciting event and I encourage people to act quickly to avoid disappointment."
Mr Richmond said 21 vehicles already had been registered for the 2021 event which would take participants to the "outer reaches of NSW" next month.
The biennial event has raised more than a million dollars for the Royal Flying Doctor Service since 1990.
It was cancelled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
