Only 1.8 millimetres (mm) of rain was collected at Dubbo City Regional Airport in April 2021.
But at 9am on Thursday the Bureau of Meteorology (B0M) reported of 20.4mm of rain falling at Dubbo this May.

The biggest downpour of 16.2mm was in the 24 hours to 9am Tuesday, May 4.
Average rainfall in the city during the month of May is 38.8mm.
The BoM's seven-day forecast for Dubbo as of Thursday morning suggested the start of the second week of May 2021 would not be as wet.
There is a 30 per cent chance of up to 2mm of rain falling on Sunday and a 20 per cent or "slight" chance of a shower on Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Dubbo received 54mm of rain in January, 114.4mm in February and 187.2mm in March.
