Twenty-eight students from Dubbo College contested the championships from April 28-30 and that was the biggest contingent from one school among Western Area's 164-student strong team.
The swimmers from the western region competed against public high school athletes from right across the state.
The Dubbo group proved they weren't just making up numbers by qualifying for 22 finals and winning 10 medals in a tremendous effort.

Sophie McAneney was the standout and brought home six medals on her own.
Four of those were for individual events while she was also part of two successful relay teams.
Dubbo College Sports Coordinator Craig May was left delighted and proud of the students' results.
"Amazing results from Dubbo College," he said.
"A massive congratulations to all members of the school who attended the championships. This is by far the best result that Dubbo College has ever had in its history.
"These results are a reflection of not only the talent of the students, but also the support from their parents and local swimming clubs."
May also praised the students for a committed approach to their training regime despite some recent challenges.
"The number one pool in Dubbo closed a month before the championships, and yet these students showed the tenacity to keep training against the odds in a much smaller pool and at a much higher temperature," the proud teacher said.
"Not an ideal lead up to competition, but indeed it showcases the commitment and perseverance of these talented students who worked against the odds and continue to excel."
Seven of the successful Dubbo College students will progress to the All Schools competition being held in Sydney at the end of May.
This talented group will compete against the best public, private and independent school students from around NSW.
