Desperate to end his side's habit of starting a season slowly, coach Cameron Greenhalgh got his players on the paddock early and put a real focus on fitness.
Trials against Temora, Bathurst St Pat's, West Wyalong, and Parkes have also ensured they're match-ready.
"We've had slow starts so we're looking to improve on that a little," Greenhalgh said ahead of Sunday's round one clash with Wellington.
"We're fit and fast and we're looking forward to see how we go in a fair-dinkum game of footy."
Greenhalgh has never been afraid to use younger players and he remains true to that, with Toomey Toohey and Zeke Hartwig named to start in the centres on Sunday while Connor Greenhalgh will be on the wing.

The experience in the side still remains though and while new recruit Nick Greenhalgh has been named captain for this season, back-rower-turned-prop Ben Maguire will again one of the most important players on the Magpies roster.
"He's one of the best front-rowers and back-rowers in the competition the last few years," the coach said.
"He's keen and ready to go and he can be devastating on his day so Ben will probably be the leader of the pack."
Greenhalgh, like almost every other coach in the competition, expects the 2021 season to be one of the most competitive played in recent times.
"I don't think there's going to be any easy game," he said.
"That's the biggest thing. I haven't seen the comp look so strong in a long time, right across the park.
"Normally you have your three or four at the top and you can get away with resting a few players at time but I don't think you'll have that chance this year."
Kick-off is 2.30pm at Spooner Oval.
