Scone-based trainer Will Freedman joked about "feeing a bit embarrassed" when his horse Frankly Savvy beat the locally-owned King Joffrey at Coonabarabran on Saturday.

King Joffrey is raced by several committee members of the Coonabarabran Jockey Club including the president, Stewart Rodgers.
Frankly Savvy, the $1.85 favourite, was ridden by Nyngan jockey Clayton Gallagher and led nearly all the way to score by two lengths from King Joffrey (Kath Bell-Pitomac, $11) and Wazena (Casey Waddell, $5) in the Have A Schooner In Coona Class 1 & Maiden Plate (1600m).
Brett Robb, who trains King Joffrey at Nyngan, went one better two races later when Boy's Home was well ridden by apprentice Dylan Stanley and won the Coona Kookas Rugby Maiden Handicap (1400m).
Feature event on the day was the Imperial Hotel Autumn Cup (1200m) and it was taken out by the eight-year-old Northern Conqueror from the Bob Howe stable at Mudgee.

Given a good run by Dunbar, Northern Conqueror ($19) surged through an inside gap to account for Skullharderson (Gallagher, $3.50 fav.) and the leader Ellysay (Aaron Sweeney, $5).
Likewise, a top ride by Jodi Worley got the John Bourke-trained Vertical ($9.50) the win in the Coona Unicorns RLC Benchmark 50 Handicap.
Vertical came from well back with a rails run to beat Jarmanagic (Liam Blanch, $6) and Garryfromthebull (Dylan Stanley, $12)
The other winners were Wine Time (Amelia Derby, $3.50) trained at Newcastle by Nicole Hudson and the Justin Blanch-trained Bus Ticket (Casey Waddell, $8).
